Stencil Boxes, or Chalk na Dabba as they are colloquially known.
In India, we use these little chalk stencils daily to decorate along the edges of stairways, and outside the entrances of our homes and businesses, to bring good luck.
Fill with rice flour or powdered chalk, then stamp onto the floor which has been wiped with a damp cloth.
Or simply hang on a wall as decoration!
They make good gifts for birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions.
Made from recycled tin. The holes are punched into the metal by hand with a hammer and nail. Patterns always vary as each is handmade.
