Carefully printed by hand with blocks hand-carved from sheesham wood.
Each colour and motif is printed with a different block. This means that as many as 16 blocks could be used to create a 5-colour design.
A set of blocks last on an average for 1,500 to 2,000 yards of fabric; after that, some need to be replaced.
The colours used in these table linens are derived from non-toxic chemicals (AZO-free dyes), mineral dyes and vegetable dyes. Chemical dyes have replaced traditional vegetable dyes as they are more color fast and longer.
These napkins hold up well to frequent washing. They are 100% Cotton, so the edges will crush slightly when you remove them from the dryer. Machine wash cold, and tumble dry. Or line dry inside out to prevent fading from direct sun.
